I love to look in the houses of celebrities, see what they have done with their apparently unlimited income to bring a space to life. Some are glamorous, although others are flashy and others modest and cool. I recently watched Jennifer Garner’s Los Angeles Home Tour for Architectural Digest and it falls in the last category. It is so effortlessly elegant – I want to withdraw.
Garner collaborated with the famous architect Steve Giannetti and designer Brooke Giannetti to build her Dream Farm-style house and to hire the designer Laura Putnam to decorate. One thing that stands out? Hair use of the color blue. She has a light blue velvet sofa, blue dining room chairs, a deep blue TV room and more. It gives the space a refreshing cool, calm, pleasant feeling without looking too matchy-matchy if you feel stuffy.
To try the trend, you can add blue accents to any room in your home – or if you save again, use the Garner color palette as a starting point. View some of my favorite real blue finds for inspiration.

Cushions are one of the easiest ways to add color to a room. Moreover, they are low commitment and you change your mind and the color hate within a year, you can always change the covers. But this affordable Bolster? It comes in a rich blue that feels timeless.

Bloomingdale’s
Although this candle looks nice in every room, you will also love the way it smells. The scent has tones of sea salt, vanilla and teakwood.
In the past, Kathy Hilton has shared that she is a fan of the scent and the strategist says: “It is the perfect fresh scent for the summer.”

Your decor does not have to be solid blue either. Try a rug with hints of blue in it. This traditional stunner, found at Revival, is labeled as a “slim easy carpet”, which means that as long as you are dust and clean as long as necessary, it really doesn’t need much to look new.
