UFC on ESPN 72 winner Joselyne Edwards talks after the fight with MMA Junkie and other reporters after her first round knockout from Priscila Cachoeura.
Las Vegas – Joselyne Edwards met the media on Saturday after her knockout victory over Priscila Cachoeura on UFC on ESPN 72.
Edwards (16-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) took out Cachoeira (13-7 MMA, 5-7 UFC) in the first round on the Prelims on the UFC Apex. It was a finish that seemed as if it was quite a bit inevitable before it happened with cacheura that dropped her hands – and took Edwards.
Edwards, from Panama, won three consecutive fights and picked up her first UFC bonus after the fight for her finish Saturday. Things seem to go in the right direction for the 29-year-old, who had a piece of five fights in which she went 3-2, but the weight missed the victories in all three.
Now she has back-to-back knockout of the first round less than four months apart after her victory in April at Chelsea Chandler-en She wants to follow the former flying weight title Irene Aldana.
“I am not a loud mouth to give you (sound) snacks that you can use,” said Edwards. “I am someone who has been very respectful, but I’ve always wanted to fight (Aldana).” … I am very happy with the work I did. The weight is very annoying to continue, but I was able to work through it and I am very happy with it. “
